West coast Vancouver Island is one of the greatest sea kayak destinations world wide. For this KLN trip we will explore the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve of Clayoquot Sound from the surf town of Tofino to Hot Springs cove visiting along the way the islands of Meares, Vargas and Flores. World class campsites, amazing wildlife, Pacific Ocean swell with the option of inside routes and gourmet meals will add up for a fantastic adventure in one of the most spectacular Canadian destinations.
In our Tofino to Hot springs cove KLN trip we discover Clayoquot Sound which was designated an UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 2000 and for a good reason: the area exemplifies the beautiful, wild, West Coast of BC, with an abundance of whales, sea otters, eagles, sea stars, and other natural wonders. Long, wide, sandy beaches dominate the exposed coastline, while further back from the water’s edge, old growth forests and mountainous terrain fill the vistas. Hot Spring Cove itself is a magical place with amazing natural hot springs and trails through old growth rain forest. Kayaking is the best way, and one of the only ways, to visit the area. Don’t forget that we will also spoil you with delicious gourmet food!
