Fjord, rivers, whales, nature, tides. The Saguenay Fjord is a classic sea kayaking destination in Canada. One of few protected marine areas in the country, the Saguenay Park is home to the southernmost beluga whale population in the world. Beautiful campsites, astonishing cliffs, fun kayaking playground. This is the place where two rivers meet: the Saguenay and the Saint Lawrence.

In this KLN adventure we travel down the Saguenay river from Ste-Rose du Nord to the town of Tadoussac over 7 days. On our way down we camp on the beautiful sites maintained by the SEPAQ (Quebec Parks). The Saguenay is a tidal river co-managed by Parks Canada and Quebec. The park is home to resident beluga whales and right where the Saguenay meets the Saint Lawrence we find one of the richest sea environments of the world. Immense cliffs carved by water created this beautiful fjord. In this KLN trip you will discover a magic tidal world and a fine paddle destination.
